Fade

I find this photo more problemic although I believe that I can see what you are trying to do. It doesn't quite work for me. While the head is centered I see too much empty space in the lower right corner that doesn't balance to my eye with the upper left, despite the fact that it is darker and heavier. I find the angle of the overalls somehow disturbed by the angle of the ribcage and breast. And with the shadow on the left arm in the position that it is in, I find that quite heavy in comparison to the fragility of the rest of the body. I like the face and the hand and would probably crop to that but that's not your idea. I'd say keep working with the idea but somehow find a way to lighten the photo without losing the somber mood if possible?
