Brilliant concept, very well thought out and excecuted. The angle of the capture and placement of the elements really do form a picture of a bird struggling to take flight.

I'm not too fond of the choice to not include the soft edges of the left feather - it seems a bit abruptly cut off. Apart from that, the composition and focus are particularly good.

I most enjoyed the lighting effects and minimalism of this capture, it works well for a dreamy, surreal look.

The stark contrast between the soft feathers and sharp, unforgiving twigs is wonderfully caught. Finally, of all the details of the photo, I must say that the various dynamic lines of the subjects are the most memorable.
